Las Vegas resale housing prices stayed flat last month and sales volume slid again, but both were higher than a year ago, says a new report.

The median sales price of single-family homes in Southern Nevada in October was $220,000, unchanged from September but up 10.1 percent from a year earlier, according to the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors.

Buyers scooped up 2,438 single-family homes last month, down 10.4 percent from September but up 4.7 percent from October 2014.

Meanwhile, 8,252 single-family homes were on the market but without offers at the end of October. That was up 1.5 percent from September but down 7.1 percent from a year ago, the GLVAR said.

The trade group reports data from its listing service, which largely comprises previously owned homes.

The valley’s median sales price has been largely the same since June, and sales volume has dropped for three consecutive months, according to GLVAR data.
