Station Casinos has contributed $1 million to Nevada’s COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund.

The company today announced the donation, which will go toward personal protective equipment and medical supplies for first responders and health care professionals in the battle against the coronavirus.

“In this time of profound crisis, nothing is more important to us than the health and wellbeing of our team members, guests and the entire Las Vegas community,” Richard Haskins, president of Station Casinos, said in a statement.

“We are honored to provide this contribution to assist those serving on the front lines in the fight against COVID-19 and are deeply grateful for their tireless efforts to serve and protect all Nevadans in these unprecedented and difficult times,” Haskins said.

The company, which has 20 casino properties in Nevada, also said Chairman and CEO Frank Fertitta III and Vice Chairman Lorenzo Fertitta will forego their salaries for the duration of the crisis.

Nevada casinos were ordered closed by Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak on March 17 to help stop the spread of the virus. The order remains in place at least until May 1.
