    • Dennis Neilander

      Dennis Neilander of the law firm Kaempfer Crowell is available to advise clients in all areas of administrative law, gaming law and government affairs. Neilander joined the firm as Of Counsel in 2011 after serving 10 years as chairman of the Nevada State Gaming Control Board. He is former president of the International Association of Gaming Regulators and a member of the International Masters of Gaming Law.

      Michael Newman is managing director of the Las Vegas office of CBRE Group. He has more than 30 years of real estate experience in property planning and entitlement, development, asset management and property acquisition and disposition. He will oversee the delivery of the company’s commercial real estate services in Southern Nevada.

      Carrie Stamps is marketing director and Beckie Gobber is relations director for Xpert Exposition Services, a Las Vegas-based national exposition company specializing in trade shows, corporate events and exhibit installation. Stamps has experience directing marketing campaigns for a variety of clients. Gobber’s experience includes exhibitor service management and application support in gaming information technology.

    • Jacqueline Kiser-Parker

      Jacqueline Kiser-Parker is senior vice president and senior relationship officer at Bank of Nevada. She has 30 years of banking experience. She will work in the Sahara headquarters office.

    • Brooke Bertuzzi, a studio designer at R&R Partners, submitted the winning entry to the “What Does PR Look Like?” contest sponsored by Media Bistro, which attracted several thousand participants.

    • William Maupin

      William Maupin is a shareholder at the law firm of Lionel Sawyer & Collins. A former chief justice of the state Supreme Court, Maupin had been Of Counsel since joining the firm in 2010. His practice focuses on litigation, arbitration, appellate work and legislative advocacy.

    • Jon Gray is vice president and general manager of the LINQ, a $550 million retail, dining, entertainment and hospitality district Caesars Entertainment is developing. The LINQ project is set for completion in phases in 2013. Gray has broad experience in the Las Vegas hospitality industry. He most recently served as senior vice president and general manager of the N9NE Group at the Palms, where he was responsible for nightclubs, restaurants and the pool. LINQ will feature a diverse number of retail, dining, beverage and entertainment experiences.

      James McClelland is director of table games and Tarek Cluff is director of slot operations for Primm Valley Casino Resorts. McClelland has more than 36 years of gaming industry experience, most recently with the Hard Rock Hotel and the Palms. Cluff was previously with Gold Coast.

    • Beverly Eickmeyer

      Beverly Eickmeyer is regional operations manager of Red Rock Financial Services. She has extensive experience as a community manager.

    • Trosper Communications received a Gold Hermes Creative Award for its design work on a brochure for Tronox LLC. Hermes is an international competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional media materials and programs. Hermes is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals.

    • Health and welfare brokerage and consulting firm Insurcorp has merged with Brown & Brown Insurance, a national company with local offices and operations. Insurcorp said the merger will give its clients access to additional resources in compliance, underwriting and technology, as well as commercial property, casualty and liability products, coverage and services. Insurcorp has traditionally been focused on large industries in Nevada, including gaming, restaurant and fine dining and automotive retail. Georges Maalouf, a benefits industry veteran who founded Maalouf Benefit Resources in 2002 and merged with Insurcorp last fall, has been named executive vice president of the company’s employee benefits division.

    • The Nevada Minority Supplier Development Council recognized accomplishments of the state’s minority business enterprises and major corporations at its recent Excellence Awards. Clark County was named “Corporation of the Decade” and cited for its leadership and support of minority businesses. NEDCO Supply/Pro-Line Video, a wholesale supplier of electrical and electronics equipment owned by Marshall Hunt, was named “Minority Business of the Decade.” Other 2012 awards and winners: Corporation – NV Energy; minority business – JS Products, Inc.; new minority business – Che Marie Corporation, dba Jadon Foods; professional service business – Wedlow Maintenance; contractor – Sedillo Landscaping; buyer/purchasing agent – Adleen Stidhun, Clark County; community relations specialist – Kyna Krause, NV Energy; and supplier diversity program – NV Energy. Anna Siefert, a member of the Department of Business and Industry’s Commission on Minority Affairs, was recognized as advocate of the year, and Mike Toney, the president of Black Platinum Construction, was named volunteer of the year.

    • Lucchesi Galati Architects has announced a name change to LGA, which has corresponded with the company’s move into new offices at the Holsum Lofts near downtown.
