      Scott Bonebrake was promoted to project manager and Michelle Mann and Jorge Alarcon were hired as project managers at Burke Construction Group. Bonebrake has been a project engineer with Burke since 2007. Mann manages Burke’s Desert National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center at Corn Creek and the new Pahranagat National Wildlife Center Maintenance Facility in Alamo, and Alarcon manages several Fixtures Living projects throughout the southwest. Additionally, Burke Construction Group began building an expansion to the Seven Hills Behavioral Institute, 3021 Horizon Ridge Parkway, Henderson. Construction, which is scheduled to be completed by January, includes converting the existing one-story, 15,000-square-foot office building to an institutional occupancy building.

      Barbara Koich is owner of Audio Branding, which provides voice-over services to businesses and governments. Koich previously worked for the Social Register of Las Vegas.

    • Felipe Ortiz was appointed to the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District Board of Trustees by the Las Vegas City Council. He is special assistant to Councilman Bob Coffin. Also, library board officers recently were elected. They are: Keiba Crear, chair; Michael Saunders, vice chair; Randy Ence, secretary; and Ydoleena Yturralde, treasurer.

      Michael Corbett is director of finance and corporate services at Penta Building Group. He previously worked as chief financial officer at William A. Berry & Son Inc., a New England construction management company. John Cannito, Penta’s former vice president of finance and corporate services, will become chief operating officer.

      Magda Hirsch was promoted to director of fund development at Goodwill of Southern Nevada. Hirsch has helped raise $6.7 million for the organization since 2008.

      Ryan Martin was promoted to senior vice president of Colliers International – Las Vegas. He has more than 13 years of experience in Nevada real estate and has been with Colliers since 2006.

      John Wilcox, Nevada regional executive at City National Bank, was elected to serve on the United Way of Southern Nevada’s board of directors. He replaces Larry Charlton, who retired from City National and the United Way board in April. Wilcox has 31 years of banking experience and community involvement in Southern Nevada.

    • The Las Vegas Green Chamber of Commerce has four new members: Michael Akbaran, of Stovall & Associates; Joseph Arana, of Electronic Support Services; Barbara Arias, of Waxie Sanitary Supply; and Garfield Ogilvie, of TPC Summerlin.

    • Todd Keffury qualified for Waddell & Reed’s annual Circle of Champions conference, which recognizes the company’s top financial advisors. Keffury joined Waddell & Reed in 2012.

    • The Governor’s Office of Economic Development named members of the Knowledge Fund advisory council: Nancy E. Brune, executive director of the Kenny Guinn Center for Policy Priorities; Anthony Ciorciari, former executive vice president of IGT; Steve Henry, director for global security at NSTec; Jason Mendenhall, executive vice president of Switch; Billy P. Smith, consulting principal health physicist at M.H. Chew & Associates; and Roger Wittenberg, founder of Boulder Bay. The $10 million Knowledge Fund aims to inspire research, innovation and commercialization in the state by funding projects.

    • Gov. Brian Sandoval reappointed McDonald Carano Wilson partner Kathleen Drakulich to a four-year term on the Board of the Governor’s Office of Economic Development.

    • Rachel Stevens was promoted to senior analyst at Applied Analysis. She joined the company in 2011.
