Armstrong Teasdale partner Tracy DiFillippo will serve on the board of trustees for Explore Knowledge Academy, a K-10 charter school in Las Vegas.

Chris Brooks is executive vice president of energy services at Valley Electric Association. He previously was director of Bombard Renewable Energy in Las Vegas, managing the company’s solar projects.

Roxanna Doyle, vice president of payment and check operations technology at Citibank, and Lainie Castle, director of operational finance and gaming compliance at the Cosmopolitan, joined Goodwill of Southern Nevada’s board of directors.

Dr. Michael Edwards, a surgeon at Anson, Edwards, Higgins Plastic Surgery Associates, is president of the Clark County Medical Society.

Bruce Alverson, managing partner at Alverson, Taylor, Mortensen and Sanders, was re-appointed chairman of the Amicus Curiae Committee by the American Board of Trial Attorneys. LeAnn Sanders, a partner at the firm, was appointed co-chair of the International Issues Committee.

Mark Andlebradt is executive chef at Wolfgang Puck’s Postrio in the Venetian’s Grand Canal Shoppes.

Sami Ladeki, of the Ladeki Hospitality Group, was named “Restaurateur of the Year” by the California Restaurant Association’s San Diego chapter. Ladeki has opened more than 35 restaurants around the world, including locations in Henderson and Las Vegas.

Hektor Esparza is a youth resource specialist at the Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada. He previously created a cultural skateboarding program at the Winchester Cultural Center and developed the nonprofit Push Forward.

Pam Eversole and Sam Kim joined GHI Solutions, a gaming and hospitality information technology company. Eversole previously was director of technical services at Agilysys, while Kim was senior director of the program management office at Caesars Entertainment.

Todd Kobrin is chief marketing officer at Ultimate Gaming, operator of Ultimate Poker and Ultimate Casino. He has more than 18 years of online gaming and sports marketing experience. He most recently was vice president of 888.com for its United States and Asia Pacific regions.

The Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance added five people to its board of directors: John Delikanakis, partner, Snell & Wilmer; John Guedry, president and chief operating officer, Bank of Nevada; Michael Richards, president and CEO, College of Southern Nevada; Donald Snyder, acting president, UNLV; and Frank Woodbeck, executive director, Nevada College Collaborative.

MGM Resorts International was named Sustainable Workforce of the Year and its senior vice president of human resources, Michelle DiTondo, was named Chief Human Resource Officer of the Year by Human Resource Officer Today magazine.

Alverson, Taylor, Mortensen and Sanders partner Seetal Tejura was appointed Nevada representative for the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel.

The Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada honored several community members: Volunteers of the Year, David Heckman and Rob Haggard; Community Group of the Year, Las Vegas Human Rights Campaign Steering Committee; Person of the Year, Diana Bennett of Paragon Gaming; Ally of the Year, Fred Keeton of Caesars Entertainment; and Corporation of the Year, Wynn Resorts.
