Las Vegas is one of the top 10 U.S. destinations to visit in 2014, according to the Lonely Planet, which publishes travel guides.

The city landed eighth on the list announced today.

It’s the fourth year the Lonely Planet has published a list of top destinations, which include up-and-coming locations as well as favorites with something new to see or do.

The Lonely Planet publishes travel guides that include must-see attractions but also encourage readers to take less-traveled roads to understand the culture and environment of areas.

1. Grand Rapids, Mich., and Lake Michigan’s Gold Coast

2. Yosemite National Park, Calif.

3. Boston

4. Central coast of California

5. Jersey Shore, N.J.

6. Kansas City, Mo.

7. Cumberland Island, Ga.
