    • Sandhill Executive Suites will expand to a second location at Eastern Executive Suites, 8565 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas. The 9,557-square-foot building, which will include 45 office suites, was vacant for more than four years.

    • BluFi Lending, a California-based direct lender for home loans, has expanded into Las Vegas. The company opened an office near Red Rock Resort — its sixth branch location — and hired 12 new employees.

    • Fentress Architects announced that North Las Vegas City Hall and Civic Plaza has achieved LEED Gold certification. The building, which consolidates the city’s departments, was completed $19 million under budget.

    • NEWave, a software supplier for the gaming industry, expanded its relationship with Spirit Lake Casino in Saint Michael, N.D. NEWave will install its myCompliance Manager software, which helps casinos maintain compliance, streamline operations and protect themselves from fines, at Spirit Lake, which has been a client of NEWave’s since 2005.

    • The Las Vegas Interactive Marketing Association announced the winners of its seventh annual Digital Media Awards. The winners were: Best Mobile Experience — Travel Vegas; Best Gaming Experience — MGM Resorts International/PlayStudios; Best Email Campaign — Mandalay Bay; Best Display Ad — Monte Carlo; Best Microsite — LVCVA; Best Business Blog — Tracky; Best Company Website — 9Group; Best Social Execution — Boyd Gaming; Best Web Video — 1010 Collective; and Best In Show — Monte Carlo. The digital media competition was open to all Las Vegas digital media designers, advertising agencies, interactive media studios and marketing professionals. More than 140 entries were submitted in 10 categories.

    • Guardian Brokers, a Las Vegas insurance agency, acquired the assets and clients of HJ Richie & Associates, a Las Vegas agency that specialized in insuring landscapers.

    • The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District received an $89,650 grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation to plan and design a network of mobile learning labs. The labs will offer tech programs for teens.

    • BusinessDecision, a new web service that combines household, business and demographic data with mapping technology, is now available free to Las Vegas-Clark County Library District cardholders. Businesses can use the consumer and demographic data to find prospective customers, evaluate competitors, identify new store locations and target media buys and direct mail campaigns.

    • Tatyana Designs Inc., a Las Vegas retailer specializing in Bettie Page-inspired designs, opened its first New York City boutique.

    • Vantage Point Bank, a residential home loan and mortgage services company, moved to Sandhill Executive Suites, 6166 Sandhill Road, Las Vegas.

    • The Penta Building Group was selected general contractor by the Bellagio for a 29-floor Spa Tower remodel. The project will include the refurbishing of guest rooms, suites and corridors.
