Chocolatier makes move to Container Park; grocery chain Sprouts up across valley

An accomplished chocolatier is crafting confections at the Downtown Container Park.

Jin Caldwell opened a retail store for her company, JinJu Chocolates, this month.

Also around town, a growing grocery chain is celebrating its newest location, and it’s game over for a sports exhibition at Luxor. A cosmetics company is promising its customers a golden opportunity.

      JinJu Chocolates

      JinJu Chocolates opened a retail store July 1 at the Downtown Container Park.

      The 260-square-foot shop sells chocolatier Jin Caldwell’s handcrafted bonbons, European truffles, toffees and more. Caldwell, company founder, has been a chocolatier and pastry chef for the Bellagio and Wynn Las Vegas.

      JinJu Chocolates is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.

      Sprouts Farmers Market

      Grocery store chain Sprouts is expected to open its newest Las Vegas-area location Wednesday.

      The health-conscious retailer, which currently has four stores in the region, will debut the 28,000-square-foot market with a grand opening celebration.

      The new Sprouts is at 10000 W. Sahara Ave., Las Vegas.

      The memorabilia-packed multisport experience offered 10,000 square feet of exhibits, athletic challenges and more.

      MGM Resorts said information about what will take over the space would be released “in the near future.”

      Dunkin’ Donuts

      A new Dunkin’ Donuts opened July 15 in Las Vegas.

      The 2,924-square-foot restaurant will offer the company’s signature menu items, including coffee, lattes and doughnuts.

      There are now 17 Dunkin’ Donuts locations in Southern Nevada. The new establishment at 3481 S. Durango Drive will be open from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day.

    • The Nano four-bottle set from Orogold Cosmetics.


      Cosmetics company Orogold opened a store last month at the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace.

      The 888-square-foot location sells the company’s skin care products, which are infused with 24-karat gold. The store also includes a VIP facial suite for customers to receive consultations and experience treatments.
