Las Vegas used-home sales dropped and prices were flat in August compared to July. But compared to the same time last year, business was up, a new report shows.
The median sales price of single-family homes in Southern Nevada in August was $220,000, unchanged from July but up 10 percent from August 2014, according to the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors.
Buyers picked up 2,855 single-family homes last month, down 6.6 percent from July but up 11.2 percent from the same time a year ago.
Meanwhile, there were 8,060 single-family homes listed for sale without offers, up 8.4 percent from July and 3.5 percent year-over-year.
The GLVAR reports data from its listing service, which is largely made up of previously owned homes.
