Opportunity Village Foundation

OUR MISSION
Opportunity Village is a not-for-profit organization that serves people with significant intellectual disabilities, to improve their lives and the lives of the families who love them.

OUR VISION
Opportunity Village seeks to help southern Nevada’s most vulnerable citizens integrate into the community through wage-paying jobs. These jobs provide opportunities for these individuals to display and be rewarded for their talent and achievement while gaining a measure of independence. Opportunity Village accomplishes this by establishing mutually beneficial partnerships with businesses and individuals.

OUR GOALS
Through vocational training, community employment, day services, advocacy, arts and social recreation, citizens with severe disabilities are able to find new friends, realize future career paths, seek independence and community integration and unleash creative passions.

FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES
Almost entirely self-funded, Opportunity Village is possible because southern Nevadans realize the value in supporting their neighbors with intellectual disabilities. In our society, people with disabilities live their lives being told what they can’t do. Opportunity Village strives to break that stigma, encouraging the people it serves to follow their dreams.
Opportunity Village invites individuals and businesses on a life changing tour of any of our facilities, to schedule, email [email protected]. During the one-hour tour you will learn so much about the wonderful people we serve and gain a better idea of just how we can partner together.
Your business is invited to reach out to learn more about hosting a third party event on behalf of Opportunity Village — contact [email protected].
There are also many sponsorship opportunities at our Signature Events.
 Contact [email protected] for details.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Opportunity Village relies heavily on people in the community who donate their time to helping serve men and women with intellectual disabilities. You can get involved by volunteering to work hand-in-hand with the people we serve or assisting with one of our events. We also have opportunities for groups and young adults.

GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
Opportunity Village welcomes cash gifts (donateov.com), vehicle donations and donations of new and gently used household items, furniture and clothing to the Opportunity Village Thrift Store.

SERVICE AREA
Opportunity Village operates four employment training center campuses and a Thrift Store in Southern Nevada. It provides vocational training and places hundreds of adults in jobs throughout the community, and hosts some of the most popular special events in all of Las Vegas, including the annual Magical Forest and the Las Vegas Great Santa Run.
