If I was an owner of one of those little lofts above the shops in the district, I would be very unhappy. The charm of the District was in it's walk-ability. The only reason I used to drive across the valley to visit the area was because it was unique.

We shall see how this plays out for the vendors leasing the shops.

Flightlinez needs to get a very connected attorney. Ross Goodman comes to mind, but I guess he just does criminal defense. I'm sure there is someone out there with enough pull to help.

Quoted from the Judge: "The court will not second guess the county's determination that taverns operating under limited gaming licenses should comply with certain physical requirements, including having eight bar-top gaming devices, to enhance public welfare."

To enhance public welfare?!! Eight top bar gaming devices enhance public welfare? How did he say that with a straight face?

The Fertittas must be smiling.

If they built the mag-lev, I'd go to California and hit the beach at least 3-4 times per year. They have been talking about it since I was a young girl. I don't believe it's ever going to happen.

I used to take the train (Amtrak) to visit my family in California back in the nineties. I guess that line just wasn't financially viable.

If they were smart, they would have bought more shares when the price was low. I wish I had jumped in. I was afraid they were going to go bankrupt, but if I'd looked at the situation more dispassionately, I'd have realized that Sheldon would never let his company go into bankruptcy. He has a huge ego, and a bank account to match.

This lawsuit has no merit that I can see.

These tools lost money because they sold at the bottom. "Buy fear and sell greed"- Warren Buffet.

Expedia and similar companies caused this. People search for the cheapest fare, so airlines hide the total cost of the ticket. That way, they come up first in the search. It's asinine.

These HOAs are up to no good. They slapped a lien on my house for a couple of weeds on the side yard. I ignored the first notice and the minute they thought they had a foreclosed home in the pipe, they jacked the 50 fee up to $1500.00. Ridiculous. They backed off when I complained.

I've been current on my dues and have lived in this house since it was built in 2000. They are running a scam.

@olbuddy, I think they might be thinking, "Well, if it's good enough for the POTUS, maybe I should give it a try.' That doesn't make them sheep, just hungry for good pizza.

Don't you have to go yell, "Get off my lawn!" right now? ; )

I like Lino's pizza. It's not a New York style though. Northside Nathan's has good deep dish pizza like in Chicago. Still searching for a great New York style slice since that place on Maryland Parkway (Amalfi's, formerly Villa?) closed.

Gotta appreciate a president who likes pizza and cannolli.
