Openings and closings: Anime, coffee, computers and clothes

The Fashion Show Mall is seen Thursday, July 18, 2013.

Town Square is expanding its lineup, Fashion Show Mall will be welcoming a technology giant, and discount shoppers in Summerlin will have more clothing options in the near future.

Henderson also says goodbye to one coffee giant and welcomes another.

Here is a look at several upcoming valley business openings and closings:

    • Jake Anderson poses in front of his store's, "Anime Revolution," sign.

      Anime Revolution

Las Vegas was named one of the nerdiest cities in America this year but offered little love for fans of Japanese animation.

Entrepreneur Jake Anderson, 21, hopes to fill that void with Anime Revolution.

The store, scheduled to open Friday at Town Square, will sell anime wall scrolls, T-shirts, figures, costumes and more.

“I opened Anime Revolution to bring the world of anime to fans in Las Vegas and give new fans an opportunity to learn about the art form and culture,” Anderson said.

The store will be located next to Victoria’s Secret.

    • Nordstrom Rack

      Nordstrom Rack

A Nordstrom Rack is set to open next fall at the Shops at Summerlin.

The 36,000-square-foot store will be the second Nordstrom outlet in Southern Nevada. There's also a location on Stephanie Street at Sunset Road in Henderson.

Items at Nordstrom Rack run 30 to 70 percent cheaper than items at full-line Nordstroms. There's a full-line Nordstrom at Fashion Show Mall.

    • Microsoft Store

Move over, Apple. You’re getting company.

The valley's first Microsoft retail store is scheduled to open Nov. 14 at Fashion Show Mall. A grand opening ceremony and Pitbull concert are planned.

The store will sell a variety of Microsoft products, including tablets, computers and game consoles. It will be located between Macy’s and Forever 21.

    • Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf

The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf inside Henderson's Green Valley Ranch resort closed this month and soon will be replaced by a Starbucks.

Starbucks officials did not provide an opening date but construction walls are up.

If you’re a Coffee Bean loyalist, have no fear. A location at the nearby District remains open.

    • A rendering of the Crazy Pita coming to Town Square in the Fall of 2013.

      Crazy Pita

Crazy Pita plans to open two new locations before the end of the year and another in 2014.

Restaurants at Town Square and Fashion Show Mall are slated to debut this year, with another at the Shops at Summerlin in 2014.

The first Crazy Pita opened at the District at Green Valley Ranch in 2007 and offers pitas, salads and other Mediterranean-influenced dishes.
