Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas.

Don’t call it a bowling alley.

Live entertainment venue and dining experience Brooklyn Bowl opened to great fanfare at The Linq this month.

Elsewhere in town, a new boutique prepares to sell its vintage wares, and a burger joint promises poolside relaxation at The Palms.

A pet care facility offers sprawling space for dogs to roam, and a restaurant at MGM quietly closes up shop.

    • Brooklyn Bowl

Entertainment and dining spot Brooklyn Bowl opened March 8 at The Linq.

The 80,000-square-foot space features 32 bowling lanes and a menu crafted by the team behind Blue Ribbon Restaurants.

One of the location’s most popular attributes so far is its concert space, which hosted The Roots and Elvis Costello over the weekend.

Brooklyn Bowl has three locations worldwide, with the original venue in Brooklyn and an outpost in London that launched earlier this year. The Las Vegas location is open 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m.-4 a.m. Friday and Saturday.

    • ‘Wichcraft

Sandwich shop ‘Wichcraft has performed its last bit of magic at the MGM Grand.

The eatery, part of a chain founded by “Top Chef” judge Tom Colicchio, closed March 3.

A ‘Wichcraft representative said the decision to close was a mutual agreement between the hotel and restaurant ownership. She added that the chain remains interested in opening another Las Vegas location.

According to an MGM spokesperson, the company is still exploring possible uses for the vacant space.

    • Camp Bow Wow

Dog care facility Camp Bow Wow opened March 1 in Henderson.

The camp, located at 910 Wigwam Parkway, offers daytime or extended-stay care, play areas and live camera feeds online that allow you to check in on your pet. Puppies must be at least four months old to stay at the facility.

The location is one of two camps in the region, with another at 5175 S. Valley View Blvd., Las Vegas.

Camp Bow Wow in Henderson is open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. On Sundays and holidays, the location is open from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

A pub-like burger joint is heating up pool season at The Palms.

Back Room Burger opened Friday in a space overlooking the Palms Pool.

The restaurant’s signature burger menu offers up dishes like the Mexicali Blues, with fresh cotija cheese, chipotle salsa, grilled scallions, guacamole and sour cream.

Back Room Burger will be open from 10:30 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday and from 10:30 a.m. to 2 a.m Friday and Saturday.
