A third WinCo Foods in the Las Vegas Valley is set to open next week.

The employee-owned chain, according to a news release, will open its third valley location near Summerlin, just east of the Kellogg Zaher Sports Complex, at 9 a.m. Monday.

The discount grocery store will be housed in a former Kmart building at 7501 W. Washington Ave. It will be the company’s fifth store in Nevada.

“Las Vegas and the state of Nevada have always been a great fit with WinCo Foods,” said Noah Fleisher, a company spokesman, in the release. “The Las Vegas metro is a place that, beneath all the glitz, is about community, quality of life and good people, just like the company.”

The location will be open around the clock seven days per week. The store will have close to 200 full- and part-time employees.

WinCo, based in Idaho, has nearly 130 stores in 10 states.
