MGM Resorts International has a new CEO of hospitality.

Promoted from executive vice president of global development, Michael Evans is now in charge of developing and operating resorts under the brands Bellagio, MGM Grand and Skylofts.

Evans joined MGM Hospitality in early 2008, taking over the company’s development team. He previously held senior management positions with Marriott International from 1998 to 2008.

Before entering the hotel business, Evans worked for a private law firm in Miami, holding a juris doctorate degree from the University Miami School of Law.
