The Cosmopolitan on Jan. 1 will stop charging hotel guests to park.

Guests will receive complimentary self and valet parking as part of the Las Vegas Strip property's daily $39 resort fee, officials said. That is a slight increase from the current rate of $35 a day.

Parking is currently $10 daily for guests; $18 daily to valet.

The fee still exists for patrons not staying at the property, although the first hour is complimentary. One to four hours is $7; four to 24 hours is $10.

In July, Wynn Resorts stopped charging hotel guests for parking at Wynn and Encore, offering free self-parking and valet to any patron who spends $50 or more on food, shopping and gambling.
