Gordon Ramsay will open Gordon Ramsay Pub and Grill at Caesars Palace later this year. It will be his second Las Vegas restaurant and will be located in the center of the resort, adjacent to The Colosseum. Ramsay is known not only for his cuisine but also his TV appearances on “Hell’s Kitchen,” “MasterChef” and “Kitchen Nightmares.” The menu at the new location will feature British pub food.

Avison Young, a Canadian commercial real estate services company that opened a Las Vegas office in November, has acquired Landry & Associates, Inc., a commercial property management firm. The purchase, which became effective August 1, adds 2.6 million square feet to Avison Young’s portfolio of industrial and office properties in Canada and the United States. The ownership change also moves four former Landry employees under Avison Young’s Nevada operations. Marge Landry, founder and previous owner of Landry & Associates, becomes executive vice president, Heather Lambert is senior property manager, Dawn Papen is accounting manager and Dana Garrett is administrative assistant.

The Ferraro Group, a public relations and public affairs company with offices in Las Vegas, Reno and Carson City, has merged with the lobbying firm Ostrovsky and Associates. The move took effect Aug. 1. Robert Ostrovsky, a lobbyist since 1981, joins The Ferraro Group as a principal. Former Ostrovsky associate Misty Grimmer is a senior public affairs executive in the merged organization.

The facilities for Nevada Oral and Facial Surgery, owned by physicians Brendan G. Johnson and John Holtzen, have achieved certification and the Gold Seal of Approval for health care staffing and patient safety services from the Joint Commission.

Sunrise Hospital/Sunrise Children’s Hospital has been recognized for its performance by U.S. News and World Report. It is the only hospital in the state of Nevada recognized for meeting the publication’s standards. Neurology/neurosurgery, gynecology and nephrology services were cited in particular for their performance. U.S. News recognition takes into consideration data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, infection rates, patient safety measures, responses from medical specialists to opinion surveys and other factors.

MountainView Hospital has received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines Stroke Gold Quality Achievement Award. The award recognizes commitment and success in stroke care.

The Nevada Gaming Commission has granted NetEffect, a Las Vegas-based provider of computer and information technology support and consulting services, the first gaming license specifically for IT service providers. The license allows NetEffect to provide management, support, security and disaster recovery services for gaming board regulated hardware and software systems.
