    • Swarovski, a designer and producer of fashion jewelry and crystal décor objects, has partnered with Marshall Retail Group to open a licensed boutique at the Forum Shops at Caesars. The 1,109-square foot space will offer an array of fashion jewelry and watches as well as home accessories and décor. Marshall Retail Group operates about 100 stores in more than 25 casino properties. Swarovski has 21 licensed boutiques in the United States, including 12 casino locations.

    • The Siegel Group Nevada, Inc., a commercial real estate and business development company, has bought a newly constructed, 48,000-square foot industrial park near the corner of Craig Road and Lamb Boulevard in North Las Vegas.

    • CenturyLink has been awarded the 2011 Consumers’ Choice Award for Best Landline Telephone Service Provider for Customer Value Enhancement from Frost & Sullivan, a business research and consulting firm. The award was based on consumers’ evaluations of landline telephone service providers. CenturyLink was recognized for the breadth of services the company offers and its bundled service packages.

    • WG Communications Group won gold and silver Paragon awards in the print single or series category of the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations 2011 regional competition. The firm also received a gold Paragon for work done by its banner and outdoor division and a silver Paragon for a print ad series. All of the work was done on behalf of College of Southern Nevada.

    • Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, a Department of Defense agency, has announced that three Nevada employers are semifinalists for the 2012 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award. The award is the highest recognition given to employers for exceptional support of Guard and reserve employees. The Nevada semifinalists are the Nevada Department of Transportation, Las Vegas; Thor Construction, Las Vegas; and GE Measurement & Control Solutions, Carson City. Freedom Award nominations come directly from Guard and reserve members or family members acting on their behalf. There were 3,236 nominees this year.

    • City National Corporation, parent company of City National Bank, reported first-quarter 2012 net income of $46.3 million, or 86 cents per share, up 17 percent from $39.7 million, or74 cents per share, in the first quarter of 2011. City National also announced that its Board of Directors has maintained and approved a quarterly common stock cash dividend of25 cents per share.

    • Gordon Ramsay Steak will open its first restaurant in Las Vegas on May 11 at Paris Las Vegas. The menu will feature Ramsay’s interpretation of traditional American steakhouse dishes with a hint of modern flair, intertwined with contemporary classics. Executive chef is Kevin Hee.
