Restaurant Guy Savoy and Old Homestead at Caesars Palace have been honored in Wine Spectator’s 2012 Restaurant Wine List Awards. Awards are given based on wine list selection, pairings with restaurant cuisine and general appeal to wine lovers.
Caesars Entertainment Corporation’s Las Vegas resorts were recognized on the “Achievers 50 Most Engaged Workplaces in the United States” list for the second year in a row. The award recognizes employers that display leadership and innovation in engaging workers.
Solutions Recovery Inc. opened the Solutions Wellness Campus on Sept. 12. The local drug and alcohol rehabilitation center has served Las Vegas for seven years and is expanding. The campus will offer sober services to the community, including 12-step meetings, yoga, boxing and MMA classes, acupuncture and massage.
The Bureau of Land Management is accepting applications from people interested in offering guided services at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. Available commercial special recreation permits include two full-time guided OHV tours, one full-time guided bicycle tour, one full-time guided horseback tour, one tour on the scenic drive and one full-time interpretive hike service. Commercial-use SRPs are required for people and business that use the public lands for business or financial gain. Those interested in applying should submit an application by Nov. 1 to the Red Rock/Sloan Field Office, HCR 33 Box 5500, Las Vegas, NV 89161. Notification of selected applicants will be made by January.
