    • Spiedini Italian Ristorante in the JW Marriott received an Achievement of Excellence award from the American Culinary Federation. It was the first time since 2004 that a Las Vegas restaurant received the honor.

    • Southern Hills Hospital won a Nevada Hospital Engagement Bright Spot in the Silver State award for excellent patient care and safety.

    • Jazzercise opened a fitness center at 6545 S. Fort Apache Road, Las Vegas.

    • Xyience Xenergy + Tea won a gold medal in the 2013 BevStar awards. Sponsored by Beverage World magazine, the award recognizes ingredient innovation, packaging aesthetics, functionality and market positioning.

    • Winder Farms, a grocery home delivery company, will open a second location in Summerlin and add sales representatives to its staff. The company also launched a new mobile website.

    • The Maryland Parkway Party City relocated to 3860 S. Maryland Parkway to the Best on the Boulevard Marketplace.

    • Restaurant Guy Savoy and Old Homestead at Caesars Palace and Gordon Ramsay Steak at Paris Las Vegas won Wine Spectator’s 2013 Restaurant Wine List awards. Restaurant Guy Savoy won a Grand Award, Old Homestead won an Award of Excellence for the second time, and Gordon Ramsay Steak won a Best of Award of Excellence. The awards are based on restaurants’ wine lists and pairings.

    • Echo & Rig Butcher and Steakhouse opened a 12,500-square-foot dining room in Tivoli Village.

    • Gatski Commercial Real Estate Services is the local affiliate for API Global, which represents Fortune 500 companies worldwide.

    • Valley Hospital opened the Diabetes Treatment Center, an outpatient clinic with counseling and classes, at 700 Shadow Lane, Suite 400A, Las Vegas. Certified diabetes educators, registered nurses and a registered dietitian offer diabetes self management classes.

    • Newave, a gaming software supplier, completed a system installation at the Twin River Casino in Rhode Island.

    • Holland & Hart was named one of the 50 Best Law Firms for Women by Working Mother and Flex-Time Lawyers. It is the third time the law firm has been honored for its flexibility and professional development programs aimed at retaining and advancing female employees. Holland & Hart also achieved Gold Standard Certification from the Women in Law Empowerment Forum for the third year in a row. It was one of 42 firms in the country to achieve certification.
