    • The Brooks Team at Realty One Nevada was ranked No. 1 in sales volume for 2013. RealTrends and The Wall Street Journal also ranked it the No. 184 producing team nationwide.

    • Forbes Travel Guide recognized several Southern Nevada hotels, restaurants and spas in its annual guide. Hotels earning five stars were: Aria Sky Suites, Encore Tower Suites, Mandarin Oriental, Skylofts at MGM Grand and Wynn Tower Suites. Restaurants earning five stars were: Joel Robuchon, Restaurant Guy Savoy and Twist by Pierre Gagnaire. Spas earning five stars were: Space at Encore, Spa at Four Seasons, Spa at Mandarin Oriental and Spa at Wynn. Hotels earning four stars were: Aria, Bellagio, Encore, Four Seasons, M Resort, Cosmopolitan, Laurel Collection at Caesars Palace, Palazzo, Signature at MGM Grand, Venetian, Vdara and Wynn. Restaurants earning four stars were: American Fish, AquaKnox, Aureole Las Vegas, Bartolotta Ristorante di Mare, Cut, Delmonico Steakhouse, Julian Serrano, L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon, Le Cirque Las Vegas, Michael Mina, Picasso, SW Steakhouse, Sage, Sinatra, Sirio Ristorante, the Country Club at Wynn, Valentino and Wing Lei. Spas earning four stars were: Canyon Ranch SpaClub at Venetian and Palazzo, Espa at Vdara, Spa Bellagio, Spa Mio, Spa and Salon at Aria and Spa at Trump Las Vegas.

    • Las Vegas Harley-Davidson broke ground on a 50,000-square-foot dealership at 5191 Las Vegas Blvd. South, near the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign. It is expected to open in the fall.

    • Washington Federal acquired 23 retail branches in Nevada from Bank of America. Washington Federal anticipates receiving about $610 million in deposits and $4 million in loans from the transaction.

    • Five businesses — Lion’s Tail Tavern, Madame et Monsieur Reshape, Nevada Community Management, Spectacle and Sylvan Learning Center — have opened at Village Square, a 250,000-square-foot center at West Sahara Avenue and Fort Apache Road.

    • Madame Tussauds Las Vegas named Vox Solid Communications as its agency of record.

    • The Nevada Taxicab Authority will move offices to 2090 E. Flamingo Road by April.

    • Zayo Group, an international provider of bandwidth infrastructure services, upgraded its Las Vegas colocation facility at 7185 Pollock Drive. Electrical, mechanical, network and security enhancements were made, and new generator and cooling systems were installed.

    • Nvision Laser Eye Centers purchased the two practices of Nevada Eye Care, which has a team of five board-certified physicians. Nvision has 15 locations in California in addition to the two Las Vegas centers.

    • MorphoTrust USA, a provider of identity solutions and services, has won the contract for fingerprint channeling services for the Nevada Department of Public Safety. Fingerprint services will be provided for people seeking employment, and volunteer and licensing opportunities that require background checks, including those in real estate, gaming, housing authorities, education and insurance. The four-year contract can be renewed for two one-year periods and could generate nearly $700,000 over the contract.
