The Las Vegas Business Academy awarded “Jedi Master” to Steven Brody, Caitlin Lorelli, Michael Matzke and Mackenzie Warren. Matzke, Warren and Lorelli received their juris doctorates, while Brody graduated with a master of business administration. Josh “Chop” Towbin, owner of Towbin Motorcars, was given the Mastership Award.

The Clark County Medical Society awarded Daniel LeCavalier of Touro University Nevada College of Medicine its 2017 Student Rising Star Award.

Touro University Nevada bestowed Keep Memory Alive co-founder Larry Ruvo with an honorary doctorate, recognizing his dedication to providing enhanced treatment and cures for those living with neurological diseases, as well as his work to support caregivers and their needs.

Nevada National Security Site Chief Nuclear Officer Dr. Charles “Chip” Martin was recognized as Distinguished Engineer. This is a new program at the NNSS that recognizes senior-level scientists and engineers for outstanding accomplishments in support of the NNSS national security mission.

Edward Farrell is president of Resorts World Las Vegas. The property plans to open in 2020.

Lima One Capital is open in Nevada. Jon Jones is its locally based business development representative.

The Otheroom, which offers craft cocktails and gourmet bites, is open at the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace.

The Coop, a shared coworking space, is open at 1925 Village Center Circle, Suite 150, Las Vegas.

Caesars Entertainment received four Loyalty360 Awards: one Platinum Level Award, two Gold Level Awards, and the Platinum Level “360-Degree Award,” recognizing the company as the overall No. 1 loyalty company this year. Loyalty360 is an association focused on customer loyalty.

The Small Business Administration Nevada District office awarded Nevada State Bank the silver Lender of the Year award for 7(a) loan production.

AviSight received Federal Aviation Administration authorization to fly drones along the Strip.

WestCorp Management Group has been retained to continue managing Dream, SW and Union, three Southern Nevada apartment communities purchased by Blackstone for $170 million. ARA Newmark brokered the transaction. The all-cash transaction marks Blackstone’s first multifamily purchase in Las Vegas.

The Siegel Group Nevada purchased the former Regency Hotel in Texas out of bankruptcy for $5 million. The 241-unit property will be renamed Siegel Suites Dallas.

The State of Nevada Housing Division received recognition from the National Association of Government Communicators, earning a Blue Pencil & Gold Screen Award of Excellence, in the category of Branding/Rebranding Campaign. The award honored the website homeispossible.org, which was designed by the Estipona Group.

Pathfinder Partners completed two models and six floor plans at Sky Las Vegas, a 45-story luxury condominium community at 2700 Las Vegas Blvd. South. The project architect was Klai Juba Architects and sales are being handled by Char Luxury Real Estate.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada and Lutheran Social Services of Nevada are building a campus-style service partnership. Nevada HAND, a nonprofit real estate development and management organization. and its affiliate company, HAND Construction Co., are building the BGCSNV and LSSN buildings that will be on the site of their newest multifamily affordable housing community. The 10,000-square-foot Boulder Pines BGCSNV Club will be the nonprofit’s 15th location. The 7,332-square-foot LSSN building will serve as the nonprofit’s new headquarters.

Nevada General Construction is building a 11,900-square-foot corporate office for the MDL Group near Jones Boulevard and Ponderosa Way, scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.

Construction began on Village Three at the Villages at Tule Springs. Pardee Homes, KB Home and Cal-Atlantic Homes are collectively building more than 1,000 homes.

KTGY Architecture + Planning was recognized at the Gold Nugget Awards ceremony for the firm’s work on nine residential developments.

Cox Communications ranked No. 18 on the 2017 DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity list. Cox also was recognized as No. 8 among Top 13 Diversity Councils and No. 13 on the Top 15 Companies for Mentoring list.

Caesars Entertainment appointed IMG as its global licensing representative in a multiyear agreement. IMG will target home goods, apparel and footwear, wine and spirits, fragrance and beauty products, fashion accessories, travel goods and recreational gaming-themed products.

Poker Central acquired the global television and digital media rights to the World Series of Poker. Poker Central and ESPN have reached an agreement to expand programming from the tournament including live event coverage and original episodes throughout the year. The agreement marks the first time ESPN will air same-day coverage of the WSOP from day one of the Main Event to the conclusion of the final table.

The Nevada State Veterans Home was awarded the 2017 American College of Healthcare Administrators Eli Pick Facility Leadership Award. Fewer than 9 percent of facilities nationwide meet the criteria.

Summerlin Hospital earned the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for Acute Rehabilitation Certification.

Delta Air Lines is partnering with the Las Vegas Aviation Maintenance School, which trains students in aircraft maintenance.

MountainView Hospital earned a three-star rating from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons for its patient care and outcomes in isolated coronary artery bypass grafting procedures.
