April Swartz joined Penta Building Group as an accounting clerk and Nancy Mayorga was hired as a senior project engineer. Alex Ortega was promoted to senior project engineer and Rossela Learing’s title, previously senior project engineer, was changed to procurement manager.

Acoustic Design Systems launched a fire systems and monitoring services division. The new division provides fire detection systems and a range of services from installation, integration, maintenance service and wireless monitoring to alarm activation and more.

CMIT Solutions, an IT solutions company for small- to mid-sized businesses, hired Kendall Venard as service desk technician. Venard will work with clients to maintain networks, servers and computers, which involves taking a hands-on approach to investigating, troubleshooting and resolving alerts before they become issues. 

Colliers International Las Vegas received multiple awards in the CoStar Group Inc.’s Power Broker Awards, where professionals and firms are recognized for closing the highest transaction volume in commercial real estate deals and leads in their markets. CoStar Group Inc. recognized Colliers as a Top Leasing Firm and Top Sales Firm in Las Vegas. Dean Willmore, SIOR, executive vice president at Colliers, was also named as a Top Industrial Leasing Broker. Colliers also announced the addition of a new industrial brokerage team led by vice president Gabe Telles, a Las Vegas native with more than 23 years of commercial real estate experience. Telles’ team includes two new associates, Chase Pavlov and Ryan Hendershot.

Lexicon Bank appointed Stacy Watkins as its new president, effective April 6. Watkins brings over 26 years of experience in the business, including most recently as senior vice president and senior region manager for Nevada State Bank. As president, Watkins will be responsible for connecting banking and investment resources to companies, families and individuals in Southern Nevada.

William Gonzales joined Howard & Howard law firm. Gonzales concentrates his practice in business/commercial litigation, representing local and national entities at every stage of litigation. He joined Howard & Howard after practicing at one of Nevada’s largest independent law firms and brings a competitive, team-oriented mindset to each case.

OptumCare Cancer Care has completed its Las Vegas cancer research office and hired two new health care professionals to staff it. Christine Martinez, MS, CCRC, was brought on as a clinical research coordinator, and Nicole Stephens, Ph.D., was hired as a research regulatory coordinator. The research office is led by Dr. K. Saad Jahangir, MD, the director of OptumCare Cancer Care research in Las Vegas. William Jordan, MBA, MHA, is the director of research operations, and Amy Hale, PharmD, BCPS, RN, is the clinical research pharmacist.

Stephanie Casteel, partner at Snell & Wilmer, was elected to the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel board of regents, and will serve a three-year term. Casteel previously held numerous leadership positions with ACTEC and serves on the college’s foundation board of directors, as well as the asset protection, charitable planning and exempt organizations, audit and sponsorship committees.

Holley Driggs law firm appointed three new shareholders and two attorneys to its Las Vegas legal team. Newly appointed shareholders Michael Kearney, Lance Reich and William Volk will serve clients in a range of practice areas and industries, most notably tax, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property and commercial litigation. Robin Gonzales and Jason Patchett joined the company as associate attorneys, offering a broad range of experience in commercial litigation, business, real property and bankruptcy.

Nevada State Development Corporation, the state’s largest SBA 504 loan provider, promoted Heather Ashbridge to vice president/senior loan officer. Ashbridge, who started with NSDC in 2008, previously served in several roles with the organization, including assistant vice president and loan officer.

Andrew Dunning joined Black & LoBello Attorneys at Law as an associate attorney. Dunning’s practice encompasses a broad range of civil matters including complex litigation, consumer fraud, business disputes, tort actions and transactional issues.

Sarah Monique Somma joined the UNR Extension as Clark County’s 4-H STEAM coordinator. She will work with the 4-H program to create curriculum to educate students in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) topics and help them develop workforce skills. Her primary goal is to offer these services to under-represented populations.

Jon Leleu and Kerrie Kramer joined Argentum Partners, a statewide government affairs and communications firm. Leleu has nearly 20 years of experience in business, law and politics. He also maintains a multi-jurisdictional practice. Kramer has been a lobbyist for seven years representing clients before every level of government and is seasoned in commercial leasing.
