      Walters Golf promoted an employee and added three to its staff. Gil Cohen, a 44-year local gaming veteran, is director of casino marketing. He previously worked at the Cannery and Eastside Cannery as director of player development. Joe Kelly, a 40-year PGA golf professional, is a vice president, oversing operations at Bali Hai, Royal Links and Desert Pines golf courses. Kelly previously worked at Sun City Summerlin as director of business operations. Gina Mann also is a vice president, overseeing sales. Mann previously headed her own sales, marketing and events planning firms, PC-Mann.com and Mann Meetings. Current employee Josh Hill was promoted to corporate vice president of marketing. Hill joined Walters Golf in 2001 as an internet marketing manager.

      Tamara Zboril is senior property manager at Gatski Commercial Real Estate Services, overseeing a team that manages more than 2 million square feet of industrial, office and retail space. Zboril previously worked for the MDL Group, Howard Hughes Corp. and CB Richard Ellis. Zboril speaks five languages and has a degree from Glendale College.

    • Traci Young, associate director of sales for Green Valley Ranch, received a “Destination Champion Award” from the city of Henderson. The Commission on Cultural Arts and Tourism selects one hotel sales professional each year to honor for his or her commitment to promoting and enhancing awareness of Henderson.

      Four Wynn Las Vegas employees were recognized during the STARS of the Year dinner at the Country Club. Laurince Lovelace, Orvil Garita, Jean Nylin-Smith and Kenneth Hatton received $5,000 checks and hotel packages from Wynn President Maurice Wooden. STARS honors employees who demonstrate excellence and exemplify the company’s values.

    • The Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada announced its 2013 officers and board of directors: president Robyn Ratcliffe Manzini; executive vice president Deborah Conway; vice president of volunteer relations John Lescenski; vice president of community relations Debbie Levy; treasurer LuAnn Kutch; secretary Laurie Kalnin; and girl board members-at-large Anna Lee and Stephanie Brereton. Other board members-at-large are: Dr. Sindy Baca, Nancy Becker, Roger Buehrer, Jean Curran, Susan Pucciarelli, Peggy Selesner, Brenda Stout, Debbie Svab and Carolyn Wassell.

    • David Heath is chief financial officer of the Nevada Housing Division, managing the investments and finances of the agency and its affordable housing programs. Heath has more than 17 years of public sector financial management experience.

      Carol Cooper is director of administrative services and Chris Zunis is senior vice president of economic development at the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance. Cooper began her career with the Nevada Development Authority in 1989. Zunis started with the organization in 2006.

    • Jonathan Carter

      Jonathan Carter

      Jonathan Carter joined the pre-construction department at the Korte Company. Carter graduated from the Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville with a degree in construction management. He will work in bidding and estimation.

    • Chris Campbell and Channelle Beller were named Man and Woman of the Year, respectively, by the Southern Nevada Office of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Campbell, owner and vice president of Cragin and Pike Insurance, raised $49,841. Beller, a sales and marketing executive at National Title, raised $17,627. In total, four women and five men raised $158,960 during the 10-week fundraising competition.
