      Matthew Kreutzer, head of Armstrong Teasdale’s franchise, distribution and antitrust practice group, was named a 2013 “Legal Eagle” by Franchise Times. Only 154 Legal Eagles were selected from more than 775 nominations the magazine received.

    • Billy Holmes and Terri Conway joined the board of directors at the Southern Nevada chapter of the American Red Cross. Holmes is area vice president of Securitas Security Services USA. Conway is senior vice president of talent at SHFL entertainment.

      Frank Schreck

      Frank A. Schreck, a shareholder at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, was named a “Star Individual” in the 2013 Global Rankings by Chambers and Partners. Schreck, a lawyer for 40 years, was recognized for his expertise in Nevada gaming law. He is chair of his firm’s gaming law group and a member of the corporate and business group. He also was recognized as a “Star Individual” in 2012.

      Tom Kovach is interim executive director of the Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada. A nationwide search for a permanent replacement is underway. Former executive director Candice Nichols is the new senior director of programs and community partnerships. Also, program director Mel Goodwin was named to the first “Trans 100” list, which recognizes the work being done in, by and for the national transgender community.

      Paul Bancroft is of counsel at Lionel Sawyer & Collins. Bancroft, who previously worked at the firm from 1983 to 1995, specializes in tax law.

    • Jerry Keating, of the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada, won the 2013 “Award of Excellence” from the National Public Employer Labor Relations Association. Keating, the RTC’s assistant general manager and chief human resources officer, was selected for his commitment to making employees feel valued and developing collaborative relationships with unions.

      Souzan El-Eid

      Dr. Souzan El-Eid, a surgeon with the Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada’s breast surgery division, was recognized by patients as one of “America’s Most Compassionate Doctors.” El-Eid also is medical director of the Breast Care Center at Summerlin Hospital. She was recognized for the care she provides, her bedside manner, face time and follow-up care.

      Steve Gebhart is vice president of digital product development and client solutions at Global Experience Specialists. He previously led the development and launch of Expresso, GES’ exhibit planning, ordering and management system.

    • Jeffrey A. Silver, a shareholder at Gordon Silver, was selected a “Leader in his Field” by Chambers and Partners. Silver was recognized for his gaming and licensing work statewide and nationally.

      Kimberly Haddock is an administrative assistant at Forte Specialty Contractors. She previously worked as an in-house marketing coordinator for Marriott Vacation Club International.

    • Justice A. William Maupin, a shareholder at Lionel Sawyer & Collins, was selected a member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, which focuses on alternative dispute resolution. Membership is by invitation only and limited to attorney mediators and arbitrators nominated by their peers.

      Jessica Sebbo was promoted to account supervisor and Brittany Rubenau was promoted to media buyer at the Glenn Group, a marketing and communications firm. Sebbo has been with the company for more than two years as a senior account executive, while Rubenau has been a media coordinator since January 2012.

      Chris Cunning was promoted to first vice president of investments at Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services. Cunning has been with the company since 1997. He is director of special asset services, the national retail group and the net leased properties group.
