Book your next event here: Las Vegas is home to almost a dozen top convention hotels

An event management company has published a list of the top 100 resorts for meetings in North America, and nine Las Vegas properties made the cut.

“Resorts have made a post-recession comeback, with demand for corporate meetings and events growing as the economy has improved,” said Eric Edenvice, president of marketing for Cvent Supplier Network. “Resorts provide an all-inclusive atmosphere that engages meeting attendees while also entertaining them.”

The list was compiled from 3,500 properties and considered amenities, meeting space by square footage and number of rooms, number of guest rooms and occupancy volume.

Strip hotels that made the list, which isn't ranked, include the Venetian and Palazzo, Wynn Las Vegas, Aria, Bellagio, Caesars Palace, Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand, Cosmopolitan and Mirage.

Las Vegas had the second most properties listed behind Phoenix, which had 10.

Other cities with multiple properties include Orlando (seven); Maui and Palm Springs, Calif. (six each); San Juan, Puerto Rico (five); Fort Myers, Fla.; and Miami (four each); Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Hilton Head, S.C.; Jacksonville, Fla.; and San Antonio, Texas (three each); Austin, Texas; New Orleans and Santa Barbara, Calif. (two each).
