SHANE VICTORINO FOUNDATION TO HOST 9TH ANNUAL TOY DRIVE BENEFITING LOCAL CHILDREN

The Shane Victorino Foundation (SVF) is hosting its annual holiday toy drive benefiting local children of The Shade Tree and Communities in Schools. Two-time World Series Champion Shane Victorino will be in attendance at GameWorks, located at Town Square (next to Guitar Center) 6587 S Las Vegas Blvd, for the event on Sunday, December 11 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

SVF was founded by two-time All Star and four-time Gold Glove award winner Victorino and his wife, Melissa, and is dedicated to promoting opportunities for underserved youth. The foundation engages in projects which provide children with educational, recreational, and wellness programs.

Supporters are encouraged to donate new, unwrapped toys and gift cards for youth ages 0-17. Those who donate can enter to win autographed memorabilia and other prizes. In addition, GameWorks is offering a toy drive special of a pizza, two soft drinks, and two 30-minute game cards for only $20 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“As parents, children’s causes are very close to our hearts.” expressed Shane Victorino. “We recognize the need that exists within our community, especially during the holidays, and feel grateful to be able to give back.”

Since 2008, nearly 6,500 toys have been collected and distributed to local children in need through this event.
