Local Non-Profit Needs Community Support

Every child deserves a stable home and a loving family. But sometimes, due to circumstances beyond their control, that doesn’t happen. Each year over 400-hundred thousand infants end up in foster care due to parental drug use. And things typically don’t improve for the child.

Foster parents usually live miles away from the biological mothers. The mothers frequently lack funds for bus fare so visits to their children are few or not at all. Often too, the foster parents are interested in adopting the children they care for making reconciliation difficult at best. The result? The biological mothers give up hope of regaining custody of their children and return to drug use. Families are torn apart forever--That’s where we come in!

We at All About Kidz approach foster care from two distinct, yet complimentary positions. We provide loving foster homes for the children, with foster parents who make family reconciliation their priority. At the same time we provide a therapeutic, sober living environment for the mothers. Visits take place at our sober living home under the direct supervision of our professional staff—preserving the mother/child bond.

We have already been successful in reuniting several women with their children who would otherwise be homeless. We have already been successful in helping these mothers maintain recovery and preserve the biological bonding between them and their children. We are seeing the transformation in these mothers who would otherwise be living in the streets or abusive environments. We are asking for the community to help us stay open until we receive funding in July, 2012. Sadly, if we are unable to get funding we will have to close our doors. Please help!
