Las Vegas, NV, March 15, 2012--
The Hilton Garden Inn –Las Vegas Strip South, operated by Sunway Hotel Group, is breaking ground on a new private wedding and event venue with a tropical flair. The Hawaiian Gardens venue will provide “Hawaii in the Desert” for weddings as well as corporate events. In an economic atmosphere that has stifled construction in Las Vegas, Sunway, and Vegas Weddings have teamed up to provide a unique experience for couples wanting to combine the lush feel of Hawaii with the excitement of Las Vegas in one spectacular venue.
“We have seen a growing demand for tropical weddings and are thrilled to be partners with the Hilton Garden Inn on this project,” says Vegas Weddings owner, Cliff Evarts. “Matrimonial Tourism brings in about 100,000 couples per year to Las Vegas annually, but with the addition of the Hawaiian Garden, we hope to attract more wedding couples and couples wanting to renew their vows in Hawaii or Vegas. Now they won’t have to choose. They can have it all at our Hawaiian Garden venue.”
Sunway Hotel Group owners saw an opportunity to create a venue unlike any other. “It is unprecedented to build such a venue at a Hilton Garden Inn, but what better place than Las Vegas to launch such a great concept,” commented Sunway Hotel Group, owner, Don Culbertson. The Hilton Garden Inn, which opened in 2004, is located just south of the Premier Factory Outlet Mall. General Manager, David Robinson said “With Las Vegas being the wedding capital of the world, teaming up with Vegas Weddings, Las Vegas’ Premier Wedding Chapel and wedding services made a perfect match for creating a unique venue that would attract more couples to come to Las Vegas to get married or to celebrate with a romantic vow renewal.” The Hawaiian Garden is scheduled to open by June 1, 2012.
The ground breaking ceremony will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 3:00pm at the Hilton Garden Inn located at 7830 Las Vegas Blvd South. Attending will be Don Culbertson, CEO of Sunway, Shawn Delaney, President of Sunway, SunWest owners, Dan Colletti, along with Frank Toth, and Ron Toth, partners & Vegas Weddings owners, Cliff and Susanne Evarts, Hilton Garden Inn General Manager, David Robinson, Veronica Fendt from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority and Georgia Allen of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce.
