America First Credit Union to Hold
74th Annual Meeting on April 16
Members may participate in person or for the first time via Twitter
RIVERDALE, Utah– April 8, 2013 – America First Credit Union is pleased to announce its 74th Annual Meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 7 p.m. at the David S. Eccles Conference Center, 2415 Washington Boulevard in Ogden, Utah. An election will be held for incumbents on the Board of Directors. To boost member participation, America First will also Tweet the meeting live.
This innovation from America First is a good example of using social media to involve and engage members. “We are excited to communicate with our members about the 74th Annual Meeting with Twitter. We hope it will encourage their participation and affirm their ownership in America First Credit Union,” said John B. Lund, President and Chief Executive Officer.
A motion will seek the support of the majority for volunteer directors to commit to three-year terms. These volunteers are Barney B. Chapman, Kenlon W. Reeve and Michael W. Roden. In addition, Lund, as well as Board Chair Linda Carver, will share reports about the credit union’s performance and initiatives. America First members are encouraged to attend the event or follow the proceedings on Twitter @AFCU or #AFCUAnnualMtg.
