Chris Zunis Named Senior Vice President Economic Development for the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance

(Las Vegas) – The Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance, formerly the Nevada Development Authority, announced today that Chris Zunis has been appointed to the position of Senior Vice President of Economic Development.

Zunis has been with the organization since February 2006 serving as Vice President of Economic Development. He is currently in charge of attracting and assisting new diversified industries to Southern Nevada with a focus on renewable energy and green component manufacturers. Over the years, Zunis’s efforts helped create thousands of high paying jobs for the local community which continues to yield millions of dollars in economic impact for the region. Zunis assisted more than 115 new and expanding companies that are now operating in Southern Nevada. Zunis assisted companies such as GE Transportation, TH Foods, Foliot Furniture, Evergreen Recycling, Cord Blood America Inc., U.S. Micro Corporation, The Pepsi Bottling Group and First Solar. He successfully presented over 40 companies to the Nevada Economic Development Incentive Board, resulting in those companies relocating or expanding to Southern Nevada. Zunis moved to Las Vegas form Centerville, Ohio in the summer of 1999. He feels that no other city offers the great quality of living and pro-business climate and that is why he considers Las Vegas home.
