The Urban League to Hold
Employment and Resource Expo

Las Vegas – The Las Vegas Urban League, a nonprofit agency, will be holding the Job and Resource Expo on Tuesday, August 13, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the gymnasium of the Dr. William U. Pearson Community Center, at 1625 W. Carey Ave., North Las Vegas 98032.

A number of companies will be offering employment opportunities from entry level positions, to the professional level. Nonprofit resource agencies will be offering their free services also.

Attendees are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their résumés, to dress for a job interview, and to bring a positive attitude.

“This event will take Job Fairs to another level. We’ll have raffles, mentors, resources, training sites, training funding sources, lectures, and of course many employment opportunities, all under one roof. We are definitely committed to changing people’s lives. Jobs rebuild America, educate, employ and empower people” said Joseph Serrao,” event organizer.

“We’d like to help those in need and provide them with equal opportunities so they can improve their chances of getting a job offer so they can become gainfully employed,” said Kevin Hooks, the agency’s President and CEO.

The Urban League is an affiliate of the National Urban League, the oldest social services provider in the nation, with 103 years history of empowering communities… by changing lives.
