Public Input Wanted on Jobs, Housing and Transportation - Southern Nevada Strong

The economic vitality of our Valley affects every one of us which is why Southern Nevada Strong (SNS) is continuing its push for public input. Throughout its second year, SNS has focused on public engagement and has participated in, hosted and met with dozens of public and private organizations to garner information and recommendations to improve our Valley. This project may be the largest collaborative regional planning project ever assembled to better integrating transportation, housing and job opportunities in Southern Nevada. SNS has also launched a series of community open houses, distributed information, and run in-depth and intercept surveys, and collaborated with dozens of entities to engage as many people as possible in this planning effort. The information gathered will help to shape a plan to help improve the economic vitality of our Valley, which affects us all. The SNS project is funded by a $3.5M Sustainable Communities Planning Grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and provides the resources to conduct in-depth research and community engagement efforts to analyze the issues facing Southern Nevada between now and 2015.
This public input piece is vitally important to improving our communities, and attracting and retaining the talent that that drive our economy. Your readers may be interested in having their voices heard or learning more about the process and we can provide project managers or expert interview to explain the project.
