Las Vegas Company Founded by a Teen Invents a Radical New Product

A small business in Las Vegas, NV is becoming a leader in the manufacturing world. The business was started in 2011 by (then) 18-year-old Abrianna Peto. After focusing on this new product earlier this year, Mutiny Shop grew by over 400% in the past six months.

Mutiny Shop sells an alternative product to embroidered patches. Embroidered patches are decorative designs made out of thread. They are stitched to police and military uniforms or used by paintball teams and boy scout troops. The business invented vinyl patches, made of PVC, as a possible replacement to traditional embroidery. They are the first to offer this product.

Vinyl patches don't need a special file type to be made, unlike embroidery which needs to be digitized. This is why it's possible to order them without a setup cost or minimum order, which is really expensive for embroidery. With minimum costs usually in the hundreds. Their coveted “$7 for 1 custom patch!” is a real deal available to everyone on their website and all you need is a jepeg to order. It's revolutionary. http://www.mutinyshop.com/custom-artwork-and-logo-patches.html

The vinyl patches are made of PVC, an extremely durable compound according to MutinyShop.com. The waterproof patches won't crack, peel, or otherwise deteriorate and can withstand weather extremes. This makes them popular for military, police and even paintball teams, as the paint won't stain them. The patches are also unlimited in color and detail.

“We're excited that everyone loves our new product. At first it was tough to keep up with the demand, but we're getting the hang of it now” explains Mutiny Shop's young president Abrianna Peto. “I love my job, I work with my friends and get to make so many cool things everyday. We have creative customers and that's the best part.” Abrianna had to add “I went from working at Subway to owning my own business. I can't believe that I employ people now. All of a sudden: I'm the boss!”

Mutiny Shop maintains an online store at http://mutinyshop.com. They focused on creating a functional and an easy to use website, where they direct their customers to order. They don't have a physical storefront. “We have more customers out of the state than we do here in Nevada. So we thought we'd focus on building a really good website and manufacturing warehouse, rather than a store” explains Taylor Alexander, an executive manager.
