WinTech’s Virtual Receptionist ALICE turned heads by winning at ITEXPO’s in Las Vegas
(Las Vegas) — Las Vegas-based WinTech’s ALICE Receptionist won “StartupCamp 8,” a ready-set-pitch competition that offers early-stage entrepreneurs the chance to pitch their startups to a large audience of industry experts, media, investors and prospects in an exciting and influential setting. The competition took place at the ITEXPO Business Technology event held Aug. 27 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
The competition was the only event at ITEXPO validating entrepreneur 'pitches' in real time and exclusively focusing on the communications sector, recognizing one company as the next amazing technology.
The winner was chosen from four startup companies that all presented their concept to a panel of high-profile judges and an audience for five minutes each. ALICE made a huge impression on the judges, showing that a virtual receptionist can make life easier for businesses. The judges included were Craig Walker, CEO of Firespotter Labs/ÜberConference; Irv Shapiro, CEO/CTO for Ifbyphone; and Andy Abramson, CEO of Comunicano, Inc.
ALICE Receptionist a new technology that enables businesses to present live customer service agents on any number of kiosks, touch screens and other interactive devices, using two-way video technology between customers and employees. ALICE gives companies a high-tech option to personally greet or assist visitors to their building without having an employee sitting in the front lobby area.
"It’s always exciting when respected industry leaders and insiders have a positive response to our technology. To be recognized at an event like ITEXPO is both an honor and endorsement of our products value for companies of all sizes.” said WinTech Chief Technical Officer Mike Yoder.
