(Las Vegas) – Applied Analysis, a leading economic, fiscal and policy research firm, announced today that it has acquired SalesTraq New Mexico, an Albuquerque-based residential research company. In 2012,
Applied Analysis acquired the operations of SalesTraq, which included unlimited rights to the name and brand, with the exception of its operations in New Mexico. With this most recent acquisition, Applied Analysis completes the acquisition of all operating units of SalesTraq. For more than a decade, SalesTraq New Mexico has been providing real estate market research and new home listing information to real estate agents, homebuilders, appraisers and investors. The acquisition expands Applied Analysis’ platform for its research capabilities within the residential real estate sector as well as instant access into the New Mexico residential market. The transaction also provides Applied Analysis with a database of over 10,000 floor plans in the New Mexico area.
David Murphy, owner and publisher of SalesTraq New Mexico, will stay on with the company for the next twelve months in a transitional consulting capacity. Brian Gordon, Applied Analysis principal analyst, said of Murphy and the company, “SalesTraq New Mexico has become a leader in the new home construction market in Albuquerque as a result of consistent, independent and thoughtful market research. Since David Murphy began the operation in 2000, he has managed to build a successful business enterprise. We look
forward to building on the solid foundation by introducing new products and technology that we are implementing in other SalesTraq markets."
The acquisition of SalesTraq New Mexico aligns with Applied Analysis’ overall strategy to develop and integrate products and services that complement the company’s core research and analysis competencies. The transaction will also help to solidify its regional presence. Applied Analysis plans to leverage these
capabilities to enhance and expand web-based, research-related services to SalesTraq customers. Gordon commented, “We fully intend to solidify our position as a leader in residential real estate research and to provide improved tools allowing our clients to get the information they need, when and where they
need it. Beyond pure data delivery, SalesTraq also provides a unique communication channel between homebuilders, homebuyers and real estate agents. We believe that also provides a unique opportunity for
growth.”

The immediate transition should appear seamless for SalesTraq New Mexico customers with the exception
of some upgrades to the look of the company’s website and the layout of its reports. SalesTraq will
continue to offer its full line of services, including SalesTraq On-line, its proprietary New Home Link and
recurring market reports. While Gordon noted some refinements to SalesTraq’s New Home Link designed
to provide greater exposure to potential buyers and give REALTORS® improved new home search
capabilities, all enhancements will be gradually developed and rolled out only after extensive consumer
testing.
