LAS VEGAS BASED FLYING ICU ADDS LEARJET 35 TO ITS AIR AMBULANCE FLEET
Las Vegas, Nevada - Air medical transportation provider, Life Guard International, also known as Flying ICU, has added a Learjet 35A to their full-time aircraft fleet.
The addition of this aircraft will enable Flying ICU to transport by private air ambulance critically ill or injured patients throughout North America, South America, Europe and the Caribbean. With a range of over 2,100 miles, this Learjet 35A can travel cross-country or to Latin America nonstop without refueling. With its medical configuration, the aircraft is capable of allowing two to three family members to accompany the patient during the flight; in addition to the flight nurse and flight paramedic providing the patient care.
“Unfortunately, there are occasions when tourists become injured or ill while traveling, and need medical assistance or air medical transportation in order to return home to recuperate. Others may require specialty treatment that is only available on the other side of the continent or in another country. This medically outfitted Learjet allows the patient to receive complex medical care while enroute to home or to that far away specialized clinic.” said Donna Miller, President and Founder of Life Guard International - Flying ICU.
Private air ambulance is just one example of the three air medical transportation options Flying ICU offers. Ms. Miller goes on to state, “Medical escort services are available for patients stable enough to fly commercially, yet needing minimal medical assistance while traveling. Life Guard also provides commercial aircraft medical transportation for the medically stable patient traveling internationally. For these patients, we work with the airline to remove 6-8 seats and create a mini- intensive care unit onboard one of their commercial airliners. But no matter which service is needed, our flight team accompanies the patient bedside to bedside, ensuring that proper assistance and medical care is provided.”
