Entrepreneurs Leave Corporate America to Start Las Vegas’ Only Mobile, Walk-Up “Wedding Window”

Las Vegas, NV (July 19, 2012) - Two Las Vegas entrepreneurs, disenchanted with the regular nine-to-five, have launched the city’s first and only mobile walk-up wedding window.
Dubbed The Las Vegas Wedding Wagon, the company blends the traveling concept of a food truck with one of Sin City’s biggest attractions: tying the knot.
“We were struggling with the idea of working for others the rest of our lives, while not really having any fun,” says co-founder James Cass. “The Wedding Wagon is our way of doing something profitable and exciting while working with couples on one of the happiest days of their lives.”
Cass, who previously spent more than 15 years running call centers, was inspired by the idea after hearing about a dinner conversation co-founder Adrian Gonzalez had with friends last year. Upon researching the wedding market in Las Vegas, the duo realized the potential for a successful new model.
“What’s different about the Las Vegas Wedding Wagon,” explains Gonzalez, “is that we’ve simplified the entire process. From our easy, on-line reservation system to our mobile nature, there’s nothing else quite like this in the marketplace, especially at this price.”
Weddings, renewals of vows and commitment ceremonies are all $99. And, says Gonzalez, this includes photos as well as the Minister’s Fee, which are typically extra costs with other services. He says that simplifying the process and pricing was something he learned fist-hand at his most recent job at Zappos.com, where he worked in the marketing department.
“We’ve tried to put ourselves in the customers’ shoes,” says Cass, “and asked ourselves ‘What would be the most fun and easiest way to do this?’ The answer is The Las Vegas Wedding Wagon.” As a result, Cass says that customers can choose to have their ceremony at locations like the Welcome to Las Vegas Sign and downtown Las Vegas’ Fremont Street.
“Our friends think we’re nuts,” says Gonzalez, “but reaction so far has been incredible, and we think that now’s the perfect time for an idea like this. And Las Vegas is the perfect place.”
