    • Vegas PBS General Manager Tom Axtell announced that for the ninth consecutive year, national research has confirmed that PBS and PBS stations are the most trusted institutions and are considered an “excellent” use of tax dollars. PBS and PBS stations were also called the fairest network for news and public affairs. In addition, PBS Kids was named the most educational TV/media brand, the safest destination for children to watch television or visit online, and the top provider of content that helps children build reading and math skills.

    • Bankers Life and Casualty Company, a national life and health insurer, promoted Berenice Diaz to branch manager of its sales office. Diaz has been at Bankers’ Las Vegas sales office since 2006 when she was first contracted with the company as an agent.

      Ryan Tsuda, M.D., F.A.C.C., has joined HealthCare Partners Medical Group. Tsuda will see patients at HealthCare Partners Cardiology, a office in the medical building at Southern Hills Hospital. Tsuda will work in conjunction with veteran HealthCare Partners cardiologists Drs. John Bedotto and Stephen Portz.

      The PENTA Building Group recently announced the hiring of five team members and the promotion of a project engineer to assistant project manager. Tom Richardson has been hired as project manager. Donato Riccio and Tim Hester have joined as estimators. Robert Bucien and Shana Jackson were hired as project engineers. Mike Kurowski was promoted to assistant project manager. Kurowski joined the company in 2005 as a project engineer.
