Smashburger is set to open its first Henderson-area restaurant this weekend.
Management plans to open doors at 10 a.m. Saturday at 9460 S. Eastern Ave., near Cafe Zupas, marking the chain’s seventh location in the Las Vegas Valley. The new Smashburger is less than a half mile from an In-N-Out Burger on the northeast corner of Eastern and Serene avenues.
Billed as America’s fastest-growing “better burger” joint, Smashburger, which operates in 200 locations across 29 states and four countries, plans to open one more restaurant in Henderson by year’s end.
The restaurant’s marketing campaign centers on the cooking style of its chefs, claiming “the secret is in the smash.”
Using 100 percent fresh angus beef that’s never stored in a freezer, chefs “smash” patties on a 400-degree flat iron grill to sear in the meat’s flavor and juices.
The new Henderson location will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
