    • Bally Technologies entered a new systems contract with Batavia Downs Casino in New York. Bally will replace a competitor’s system with the Casino Market Place, a casino-management, patron-loyalty and player-tracking system. The company also will support 779 gaming devices at Batavia Downs. Eight of New York’s nine racetrack casinos use Bally technology. In addition, Bally reached an agreement with Interblock to integrate its online gaming content into Bally’s iGaming Platform and announced a partnership with iSoftBet to launch online gaming products in Europe. Bally will provide European players with video slot content and HTML5 mobile games.

    • Aristocrat slot machines received 12 awards based on a readers’ poll in the “Southern California Gaming Guide,” including best video slot, best penny slot, luckiest slot and best slot mobile app. Aristocrat’s Buffalo slot also was named best video slot for the second year in a row by the Goldman Sachs Slot Managers Survey. Additionally, Aristocrat signed a licensing deal with Montana video gaming device manufacturer Grand Vision Gaming to put Aristocrat games in GVG cabinets across Montana.

    • Wells Fargo & Company has approved more SBA 7(a) loans for small businesses so far this year than any other lender. Wells Fargo extended 1,903 loans worth $739 million, 16 percent more dollars and 10 percent more loans than during the same period last year. The bank is the No. 1 SBA 7(a) lender for number of loans in Nevada.

    • The Nevada Chiropractic Board received the Earl L. Wiley Outstanding Board Award by the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards.

    • NEWave, a software supplier to the gaming industry, will install its Title 31 Manager and TINCheck software at eight casinos owned by Cherokee Nation Entertainment in Oklahoma.

    • Canyon Beachwear opened its first Las Vegas store at the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian.

    • Artists and small businesses can book 3rd Street Studio LV for photography sessions, art shows, workshops and events. The studio has more than 1,100 square feet of space aimed to support local entrepreneurs in the Downtown Arts District.

    • The Mob Museum was named a 2013 Public Works Project of the Year by the American Public Works Association. The project’s managing agency, the city of Las Vegas Public Works Department, as well as primary contractor APCO Construction and primary consultant Westlake Reed Keskosky will be recognized at an August awards ceremony.

    • Nevada’s Eighth Judicial District Court in Las Vegas received a Star Award for high performance from the executive board of the Nevada Association of Court Executives. The award honors creativity, innovation, performance, leadership and positive contributions to the judiciary.

    • YOLO Pops acquired Peckman’s Pops and introduced a new line of alcohol pops. Described as a popsicle without a stick, YOLO Pops are designed to be eaten frozen and come in a variety of flavors.

    • The Egg Works and Egg & I Family Restaurants opened a fifth location in the valley at 10839 S. Eastern Ave., Henderson.

    • SkyWire Media, a mobile content enabler, will partner with Cobalt Data Centers to provide data center and interconnection services for its mobile business. SkyWire Media distributes digital content to mobile devices on behalf of hospitality and gaming brands.
