Rob Bedsworth, Jared Carlson, Nate Jacobs and Nathan Kowallis were promoted to project managers at McCarthy Building Companies, a privately held construction company. Bedsworth joined McCarthy’s Nevada group in 2004 as a project engineer. Carlson joined the company in 2007 and has worked on projects at McCarran International Airport and MGM Grand’s Hakkasan. Jacobs joined McCarthy in 2007 and works on the Clark County Advanced Wastewater Treatment project. Kowallis joined McCarthy in 2008 and worked as part of the Veterans Tribute Career and Technical Academy project team.

Crissy Semeraro
Crissy Semeraro was promoted to senior vice president and bank operations manager at Nevada State Bank. She has been with the bank for more than 19 years. Semeraro also teaches financial literacy classes for Youth Offender Court defendants at the Regional Justice Center and to residents of the Shade Tree.
Scott Green is executive chef of The Buffet at Wynn Las Vegas. He previously was executive chef of the Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace. Green has been in the food and beverage industry for more than 10 years.

Terri Kight was promoted to mortgage loan officer for the home loan division of the Clark County Credit Union. Kight previously worked as a financial services representative in the consumer lending department.
Troy Dillard is director of the state Department of Motor Vehicles. He had served as interim director since November 2012. Dillard graduated from Mineral County High School and has a bachelor of arts degree from UNR.

Angie Dwinell
Angie Dwinell is director of marketing and operations for the Jeffrey Burr law firm. She has 10 years of legal administration experience and is president of the Las Vegas Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators.
Laurel Davis, of Fennemore Craig Jones Vargas, was recognized as one of the top 250 Women in Litigation by Benchmark Litigation. Davis specializes in commercial litigation, bankruptcy, debtor rights, creditor remedies, workouts and restructures.
Gov. Brian Sandoval appointed Karin Kreizenbeck state public defender. She previously served as chief deputy public defender. Kreizenbeck is a member of the National Association of Drug Court Professionals, the Adult Specialty Drug Court, DUI Diversion Court and the Mental Health Court Team.
Alaina Burtenshaw was reappointed chairwoman of the Public Utilities Commission. Her term begins Oct. 1 and runs through September 2017. Burtenshaw has been with the PUC since 1992.

Tammy Tabura is CEO of LV Photo, which specializes in corporate and event photography and photo software installation. The company has offices in five cities, including Las Vegas.
The South Point’s Xelyna Rodriguez was honored as “Student Culinarian of the Year” by the American Culinary Foundation. Also, South Point Chef George Bailey won a national president’s recognition award for his work with the Chef for Kids Foundation.

Ketan Bhirud, a litigation lawyer at Lionel Sawyer & Collins, joined the board of directors for the Southern Nevada chapter of the American Red Cross.

Susan Bauman is president of Western Risk Insurance, which serves customers in Nevada, Arizona, California and Utah. She has been with the company for 11 years. Bauman is a graduate of UNLV and has two decades of marketing and sales experience.
Gary Loveman, chairman, CEO and president of Caesars Entertainment, received the 2013 Distinguished Achievement award from the National Council on Aging. The award, which honors community involvement, had not been presented in 20 years. Loveman was honored for his dedication to supporting older adults.

E.J. Cutliff II is executive meetings manager at Mandalay Bay. He books conventions and small group meetings. He previously worked for MGM Resorts International, the Venetian and the Greenspun Media Group.
Leslie Carmine, director of communications for Catholic Charities, won the annual American Inhouse Design Award for her calendar, “You Define Hope.” Carmine has won the award four years in a row and had her work featured nationally in “Graphic Design USA.”
John Michler is manager of finance at Textbroker International, a content writing company. Michler has more than 10 years in the banking industry and previously worked as a commercial relationship manager for Chase Bank. He has an MBA from California State University, Long Beach.
Aaron Maurice and Jason Wiley are shareholders and Brittany Wood is an associate at Kolesar & Leatham. Maurice specializes in general litigation, Wiley practices commercial litigation, and Wood focuses on title and real estate litigation.
