Now open: Video game bar, Starbucks and chicken galore

Las Vegas recognizes history with a popular coffee chain, returns to “old school” with the opening of a mom-and-pop shop, and looks to the future with a bar-arcade.

Plus: A fast-casual restaurant with a focus on quality service.

      Hi Scores Bar-Arcade | 4785 Blue Diamond Road

      Opening up a second location in the southwest valley this fall, Hi Scores combines food and gaming to create a unique experience for guests.

      “We are excited to bring Hi Scores to this end of the Las Vegas Valley and to become a part of the neighborhood,” General Manager Leif Marwede said.

      The bar-arcade will feature an energetic arcade area as well as a selection of 32 craft beers.

      The historic West Las Vegas will be home to a new Starbucks location.

      The Starbucks will be located at the northwest corner of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Mt. Mariah Drive.

      PDQ | 3010 W. Sahara Ave

      The fast-casual restaurant dedicated to serving fresh, hand-battered chicken tenders, made-to-order sandwiches and fresh salads will open a second location at 3010 W. Sahara Ave. in July.

      Based in Tampa, PDQ stands for People Dedicated to Quality.

    • Tups’ Specialty Sandwich Shop | 2381 East Windmill Lane, Suite #24, Las Vegas

      This mom-and-pop shop is serving up fresh produce and quality meats with the opening of its location in the southeast part of the valley.

      Guests have the option of ordering creative paninis and delicious soups, in addition to quality sandwiches. The shop also donates a portion of each meal to local charities like Three Square.

      Open: Monday thru Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 6 p.m., Saturday: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
