Contractor of the Year Awards: Subcontractor of the Year, M.J. Dean Construction

M.J. Dean Construction

Since 1989, M.J. Dean Construction, Inc. has provided an integrated source of consulting, cost analysis, construction, operations and project management services for major commercial projects in the Las Vegas area. It has managed billions of dollars in contracts and overseen the construction of some of the most recognizable, high-profile megaresorts and high-rise condominiums in Las Vegas, including the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, Palms Place and Cannery Casinos.

In order to work efficiently and ensure the quality and craftmanship that M.J. Dean has become known for, the company self-performs much of its own work. This saves clients’ money and reinforces the commitment to client satisfaction. Most recently, this included several aspects of the Hard Rock expansion project that came in under budget and ahead of schedule—an uncommon feat in the construction industry.

Through business ethics based on the highest level of integrity, M.J. Dean has been able to build one of the largest pools of experienced, professional and reliable employees, subcontractors and vendors in the Las Vegas area. With more than 1,000 local employees and a core management staff representing some of the best in the business, M.J. Dean has earned its reputation as one of the best, offering precision construction services. The company boasts an extensive safety program, where its focus continues to be the successful completion of every project on time and within budget, while adhering to the strictest standards of safety for all employees on site.

M.J. Dean is currently underway on the Madison Square Garden Sphere, a new venue that is projected to create 3,500 jobs while under construction. Once completed, the venue is expected to support well over 4,000 jobs annually—helping our local economy continue to grow.

M.J. Dean also is committed to giving back to the community and supports various organizations and social causes, including Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada, the American Cancer Society Construction vs. Cancer event, and is currently completing a building remodel for Cupcake Girls, an organization that helps sex trafficking survivors rehabilitate, a project valued in excess of $500,000.
