At age 16, Dr. Carrie Bedient observed brain surgery. It was then that she knew medicine was her future. She chose the field of reproductive endocrinology and infertility, where she uses science and empathy to help guide her patients through the journey to parenthood.
Bedient’s expertise extends beyond the doors of the Fertility Center of Las Vegas. She is heavily involved in medical education in Southern Nevada, serving as the director of reproductive endocrinology and infertility at MountainView Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency, in addition to being the course director for reproductive medicine at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV. Bedient also has lectured at Touro University on fertility care for LGBTQ+ patients, and hosts annual lectures on sex education for elementary students.
During the pandemic, Bedient started the podcast Fertility Docs Uncensored to further her ability to help those experiencing infertility. In only two years, it has been downloaded more than 100,000 times and has listeners in more than 30 countries.
