Nevada Donor Network in 2025 earned recognition as a Tier 1A Organ Procurement Organization, the highest performance designation by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid. The network’s work resulted in the recovery of lifesaving and healing gifts from 262 organ donors, 1,090 tissue donors, 1,586 cornea donors and 2,957 mothers donating birth tissue. The donations resulted in 795 organs transplanted, along with over 300,000 tissue grafts, and sight restoration to over 3000 recipients.
A recent report from Northwest Registered Agent lauded StartUpNV, a statewide nonprofit incubator and accelerator for Nevada-based startups, for “helping to nurture new businesses with access to mentorship and capital.” The three StartUpNV-affiliated venture capital funds—FundNV, AngelNV and 1864 Fund—have had 475 investors invest $14.3 million in 27 startups since 2021.
JW Marriott Las Vegas and Rampart Casino announced a property-wide rebrand, officially uniting the resort and casino under a new identity, The Resort at Summerlin. The rebrand marks a significant milestone in the property’s $75 million, multiyear renovation.
Cirrus Aviation Services announced three senior leadership appointments. Tami Beutel has been named vice president of charter sales and flight support, Alexandria Hurley joins as head of public relations and communications, and Brian Harlan has been appointed director of safety. Beutel has nearly 30 years of aviation experience, including as a military helicopter pilot. Hurley has more than a decade of experience leading public relations, public affairs, and crisis communications. Harlan brings more than 13 years of experience across Part 135 and Part 145 operations, with expertise in safety management systems, regulatory compliance, aircraft onboarding, training administration and technical publications.
Gov. Joe Lombardo announced his appointment of Laura Rich as director of the Nevada Department of Human Services. Rich, a seasoned executive with more than a decade of leadership experience in statewide health policy, previously served as executive officer of the Public Employees’ Benefits Program and most recently worked in senior roles advising health and human services agencies across the western United States.
