This image was taken during an atomic/ nuclear test that could be seen from the roof-tops of businesses located on Fremont Street in Downtown Las Vegas. Las Vegas News Bureau. The detonation was part of Operation Plumbbob at the Nevada Test Site (NTS). The test was called Priscilla. The weapons related test was launched via balloon over Area 5 of the Nevada Test Site (NTS). The weapons yield was 37 kilotons. It was the 91st atomic/ nuclear explosion in history.
