Assistance League Of Las Vegas

Our Mission

Assistance League volunteers transforming the lives of children and adults through community programs.

Our Vision

Essential needs are met in our community and families flourish.

Our Goals

To grow our membership, increase awareness and recognition.

Fundraising Opportunities

The programs and services we offer are made possible by the generous support of our community partners, businesses and individual donors. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Nevada HAND remains an essential service.

Step Up for Students: annual mailing campaign to friends in the community to solicit donations for our signature philanthropic program, Operation School Bell, which provides new outfits suitable for school to Clark County students in need.

Thrift Shop: Donate gently used clothing, household items and furniture to the ALLV Thrift Shop.

AALV Golf Tournament: Play, sponsor, donate or volunteer at the annual golf tournament to support Operation School Bell.

Shop and Play for a Cause: Every time you shop with select organizations, such as Amazon Smile, Smith’s and the Las Vegas Lights, a portion of the purchase price will be donated to the Assistance League.

Volunteer Opportunities

We are an all-volunteer organization with no paid staff. Volunteer opportunities are available through membership, which is open to any individual, regardless of race, color, creed or ethnic background. Contact us to schedule an informative tour of our facility and find the best volunteer fit for you.

Assistance League members fulfill the daily obligations of running the chapter. Elected Board Members come from the voting membership and members volunteer on over 21 committees. Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month except July and August. Members can schedule volunteer time to fit their schedules.

Desert Sage Auxiliary provides an opportunity for those who wish to give service to the community but have limited weekday hours to volunteer. Volunteer opportunities are available on Saturdays, and meetings are held on the first Tuesday evening of each month, except July.

Assisteens® Auxiliary membership is open to teens in grades seven through twelve. Meetings are held on the third Sunday of the month from September to April. Assistance League members act as advisers to these young volunteers.

Giving Opportunities

There are many ways you can choose to give to support the Assistance League and you can be assured that your contribution — whether it be in dollars or minutes — will go directly to someone in your own community who needs and deserves it.

Individual Donation: Give $10 and $10,000 to support ALLV programs.

Employee Giving/Employer Matching: Many companies offer employee charitable giving plans to nonprofits through payroll deduction.

Philanthropic Endowment: a fund established to ensure the continued success of our charitable programs

Corporate Giving: Donations from corporations and volunteer groups from companies can make a major impact.
