Goodwill of Southern Nevada

OUR MISSION

To reduce the impact of poverty on our community by helping Southern Nevadans obtain local employment and upward mobility.

OUR VISION

A thriving Southern Nevada community where every person who wants to work is employed and able to reach their full potential.

OUR GOALS

We believe everyone who wants to work should have the opportunity to gain meaningful employment that leads to a thriving career. By providing free career services including coaching, skills training, and job placements, we aim to help individuals—especially those facing major barriers to advancement—gain meaningful employment that builds character, furthers independence, and builds stronger communities.

FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES

In Spring 2026, Goodwill will host our 3rd Annual Strokes of Goodwill Golf Tournament. Join us as presenting sponsor, supporter, table sponsor, or attendee.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Goodwill Experiences: Goodwill opens our doors to civic organizations and local employers to create memorable volunteer experiences for their members and employees. Opportunities focus on organizing merchandise on the sales floor and preparing donated goods at the Goodwill store located at Las Vegas Blvd and Robindale. https://www.goodwillvegas.org/volunteer.

GIVING OPPORTUNITIES

Goodwill Training Academy: State-of-the-art facilities house professional training programs for new healthcare workers, stagehands, and other skilled trades. Sponsorship of courses, skills labs, and classrooms, increase Goodwill’s capacity to train aspiring professionals and meet local employers’ needs for a well-trained, diverse workforce.

Healthcare Training Programs: Goodwill’s renowned Medical Assistant (MA) and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training programs alleviate the region’s acute shortage of healthcare workers. Corporate partners and Goodwill collaboratively develop customized programs that deliver a diverse pipeline of employment-ready trainees.

Stagehand Training: Goodwill’s two-week Stagehand Training Program opens the door to careers in the events industry. The two-week course includes OSHA 10 certification and leads to employment opportunities throughout Las Vegas Valley.

Summer Education Experience (SEE): This program offers a five-week learning and work skills development opportunity to students participating in special needs classes during the school year.

Disability Programs: Contributions both large and small real work experience to instill confidence, further independence, and create a sense of inclusion and belonging for young adults living with disabilities.

Financial Support: Because Goodwill’s social enterprise model covers all overhead costs, 100 percent of financial contributions go directly to programs that help disadvantaged populations facing major barriers to employment achieve thriving careers with upward mobility. Contributions of $100 to $1,000 support tuition assistance, tablets, clinical supplies and uniforms, professional clothing vouchers, and transportation assistance for career training program participants.
