Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth

Our Mission

To Eliminate Homelessness Among Nevada’s Youth.

Our Vision

All homeless youth in Nevada share the same opportunities for a quality future enjoyed by others in our community.

Our Goals

Our goals are to empower youth who have experienced homelessness to reach their highest potential, including 1) enhancing young people’s social and emotional well-being, 2) strengthening their support networks, 3) uplifting them to succeed in work and school, and 4) helping them transition to safe, stable housing. In addition to providing high-quality, evidence-based direct services, NPHY serves as a systems-level leader and community convener in the fight to end youth homelessness in Southern Nevada.

Fundraising Opportunities

• Plastic Food Drive Campaign (PFD): Our annual campaign is the driving force behind our efforts to ensure that thousands of homeless youth in our community can get a hot meal 24 hours a day.

• Graduation Dinner: This joyful celebration recognizes the accomplishments of youth in our program and the generosity of our community partners.

• NPHY Education Drive: Support NPHY’s efforts to make sure that education is accessible to all young people experiencing homelessness. Every June/July we ask the community to come together to donate school supplies or make a monetary donation that will support young people who are trying to reach their educational goals. n NPHY’s Holiday Giving Campaign/ “It’s a Wrap” Holiday Block Party: Each year, NPHY hosts a Holiday Giving Campaign where we ask the community to donate money, host gift drives, or purchase new and unwrapped gifts that will become holiday gifts for youth. To culminate the Holiday Giving Campaign, NPHY hosts our annual “It’s a Wrap” Holiday Block Party where hundreds of volunteers come together to create gifts from youth wish lists received from clients throughout our various programs.

Volunteer Opportunities

• Feed Good Friday: A weekly youth outreach event where volunteers distribute essential items and give out information about NPHY, Safe Place and other programs for youth to access.

• Cookin’ for a Cause: Groups are asked to supply the food and menu of your choosing (ex: burgers, hot dogs, tacos, side dishes) and a grill master prepares hot meals for NPHY’s clients.

• Renovation Project: Renovation Projects are great for large volunteer groups. Volunteers assist with service projects that focus on improving NPHY’s facilities.

• NPHY’s Engage Me program: We are looking for volunteers to take part in NPHY’s youth engagement program. Volunteers help compose curricula and provide basic skills training. For more information on how you can get involved, contact us at [email protected] or 702-383-1332.
